Samantha Vergara

Howdy, my name is Samantha Vergara , and I'm a first-year master's student in Human Resource Management at Texas A&M University. I recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding people and organizational behavior. Currently, I'm expanding on that foundation through my internship at HMT, where I've been gaining hands-on experience in real-world HR functions since February 2025.
I'm passionate about using data-driven insights and empathetic leadership to help organizations create inclusive, productive, and sustainable workplaces. What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between analytical thinking and human connection. I bring a unique mix of people-first perspective from my sociology and psychology background, combined with practical HR experience from my internship.
At HMT, I've contributed to a range of projects -from streamlining onboarding processes to supporting employee engagement initiatives -and I've learned the importance of aligning HR practices with overall business goals.
I'm currently seeking opportunities to grow within the field of human resources, particularly in areas like talent development, organizational effectiveness, or employee relations.
