Howdy! I am Nikhil Joshi, a Master's student in Management Information Systems at Texas A&M University. I come from an engineering background and have 2.7 years of experience in software development and data-centric projects. Throughout my journey, I have developed a passion for working at the intersection of data, technology, and problem-solving - and that's the space I aim to grow in as a data science professional.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine deep technical skills with a problem-solving mindset. While working at Accenture, I led the full-stack development of an onboarding tool that reduced onboarding time, and built a comparator dashboard mapping over 130 data fields, cutting down manual validation efforts, I've also worked on building scalable web tools using Java, React, Kafka, and Camunda. But more than just building software, I love to understand the why behind the work - why the data matters, and how it can drive smarter, faster decisions.
I have also had hands-on experience with data analysis and machine learning. During an earlier internship, I applied Python and R to build predictive models, and through academic projects and certifications, I've deepened my skills in data visualization, statistical methods, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. Now, as I continue through my master's program, I'm focusing on combining those experiences with advanced coursework in analytics and information systems to grow into a data science leader.
Looking ahead, my goal is to use data not just to describe the past, but to help organizations predict and shape the future. I'm particularly interested in working with innovative, data-driven companies where I can contribute to high-impact projects that solve real-world problems using machine learning, automation, and thoughtful design.
