Matilyn Gonzalez

Hello! My name is Matilyn Gonzalez. I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a Finance degree and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate. I am excited to now be in the Master of Real Estate Program at Texas A&M. This program and career path has been one that I set my sights on at age 8 and I am proud to be making steps towards this longtime goal. While I am very open to seeking opportunities in various sectors of the industry, I have consistently found myself most drawn to development. The blend of creativity and analytical skill have always interested me- but more than anything, I appreciate the tangible aspect of creating a place where people will live, eat, work, etc. I have worked to gain diverse exposure to development from participating in an International Real Estate Program in London, to a multifamily and now a land development internship. One large take away I have gotten from these experiences is the importance of taking the time to talk with successful people who are in the industry and achieving goals you hope to one day achieve. I really leaned into this during my time serving as a Vice President in the Real Estate Organization. Not only did I have the opportunity for incredible networking and learning opportunities, but it was incredible to connect with the members and share my passion for the real estate organization and try to give back.
