Lily Robinson

My name is Lily Robinson, from the small town of Denison,
Texas. I am a first year student in the Masters of Science in Human Resource Management
program at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. A true aggie at heart, I also
received my undergraduate degree in management from Mays as well, where my love for human
resources was first ignited.
My leading desire in pursuing HR is to improve the lives of many by improving their work lives.
In a society where work is such a significant part of our lives, I have come to realize the great
importance of helping to ensure people's work is fulfilling and enjoyable.
Additionally, human resources is the perfect blend of my people and organizational skills and
experiences. My soft skills of emotional intelligence, business acumen, and problem solving
have equipped me to excel in my higher education and work towards my goal of improving the
lives of many.
Through various internships and jobs at distinguished companies, leadership positions held, and
HR and business organizations I have been a part of, these experiences have all helped build my
professional profile while also confirming that HR is the career for me. These real world
experiences have revealed the importance and need for high quality HR that values the individual
and also the businesses goals.
