Hi, my name is Evan De la Garza. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science degree at Mays Business School at Texas A&M in Management Information Systems. Before this, I did my undergrad at A&M studying Computer Science with a minor in Game Design & Development. During that time, I was able to explore the versatility of programming and how it can be used to improve people's quality of life.
While studying for my undergraduate degree, I was exposed to many different applications of computer science and programming. These applications range from entertainment with video games to education with VR/AR learning experiences to research with atmospheric box modeling and so much more. The idea that we can make software to enhance so many parts of our lives excited me deeply and pushed me to explore the various technologies available to make new and exciting tools.
From there, I was able to take an internship pertaining to information technology. This internship allowed me to see how the technology is used in the workplace to make processes easier. Whether it be storage systems, networking technology, or simply data processing software, all of these tools allowed for an efficient, successful work environment.
Whenever I step into a new role, I am always eager to learn new skills and grow from the experience. I often like to look into how all the parts of a system work together to form a complete product and really understand the role of each individual piece. With that comes an attention to detail that allows me to ensure that the final product exceeds expectations and works perfectly.
To sum up, I am motivated by opportunities to improve people's lives through technology. My passion for tech has allowed me to learn invaluable skills and grow as a person. I am excited to utilize my knowledge to help others, and I look forward to connecting with you.
