Christian Swartz

Howdy, my name is Christian Swartz and I have just completed the MS Supply Chain and Data Analytics program at the Mays Business School. I also did my undergrad here and got a BBA in Supply Chain Management. I have always grown up wanting to be a part of a logistics operation because I would enjoy knowing that I am able to help a vast amount of companies with their operations by providing their goods on time.

The unique qualities that I bring to the table is being able to view management in a different way than the norm. Instead of being a dominant leader that sees workers as a collective group, I like to focus on how everyone is unique in their own way. This allows tasks to get done in the most effective manner, allowing people to focus on tasks that they are the strongest in rather than having people learn entirely new concepts that they wouldn’t appreciate as well.

Throughout my life I have been part of leadership roles inside of many different organizations. The most recent leadership position that I have been a part of has been being a mentor for new members joining Future Business Leaders of America at Texas A&M. This position has allowed me to expand upon my value proposition to see first hand how people can be unique in their own ways and interests. My work experience has allowed me to focus on customer service aspects while enforcing supply chain concepts within my field. I currently work with a company called Aussie Pet Mobile as a dispatcher that will answer and schedule appointments for a mobile grooming van. This has allowed me to learn valuable experience in dealing with ever-shifting demands as well as learning ways to route schedules to maximize up time and reduce fuel expenses.

With these experiences and core values I am very interested in experiencing any supply chain opportunities that I might be able to experience in the future. I am looking forward to hearing about any more supply chain opportunities that await me.
