Howdy!
My name is Chase Capron. While achieving my undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma, I discovered my passion for understanding the complex technological architecture that underpins modern business. I became fascinated with not just how systems work, but how to ensure they are secure, efficient, and aligned with strategic goals. That drive for deeper expertise is what led me to pursue my Master of Science in MIS at Texas A&M, allowing me to sharpen my technical knowledge and prepare to solve the next generation of business challenges.
I thrive on identifying the hidden technological risks and process inefficiencies that businesses often overlook. I first put this into practice during my internship as an Analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank. From the start, I saw the opportunity to enhance how business problems were being solved. I took the initiative to build interactive presentations and dashboards using Tableau, translating raw data into clear insights. By leading projects with Agile methodologies, I helped drive tangible cost-saving initiatives and demonstrated how a proactive, analytical approach could improve IT functions across the system.
Following that, I stepped into a full-time Technology Risk role at Ernst & Young, where I applied this mindset on a much larger scale. I led client walkthrough meetings to gain a deep, functional understanding of their IT systems and control environments. This allowed me to move beyond a simple checklist and proactively evaluate their tools for critical compliance gaps and security exposures. The result was clear, evidence-based reporting that didn't just satisfy audit requirements, but gave leadership a true understanding of their risk posture and a clear path toward remediation. Throughout this, I consistently drew on my experience as a Teaching Assistant, where I mentored students in complex technical topics like cybersecurity, programming, and database management, enabling clear and effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
That is what excites me about any organization that values security, efficiency, and innovation. I am excited to grow with a company that shares my goal of building a more secure and intelligent technological future.
