Carson Shimmin

I pursued real estate deliberately: undergraduate finance to build analytical rigor, a general contracting internship to understand how projects get built, and now a Master of Real Estate at Texas A&M. Every step was intentional, grounded in a belief that mastering the fundamentals is the only way to create lasting value.

Even-keeled across disciplines, I am comfortable in a proforma and equally drawn to the question of why a space makes people feel something. I have come to see creativity not in the arts, but in the built environment, in the balance of beauty and function, and in curating places where people genuinely want to be.

I am building toward a career in real estate development, with a particular pull toward hospitality and the experiences it creates. In the near term, I am focused on sharpening my underwriting, capital markets, and deal execution skills so that when I do build something, I can do it well and do it right.
